Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup whole milk
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 small onion, finely minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small bowl, combine milk and bread crumbs and let sit for 2 minutes to form a paste.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, milk-crumb paste, egg, minced onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and dried parsley. Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined; do not over-mix.
- Press the mixture gently into a 9x5 inch loaf pan or shape into an oval on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes.
- Whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the baked loaf.
- Return the loaf to the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the glaze is bubbling.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing to retain juices.
